Abstract

Optical properties of various Si nanostructures are discussed. The Auger coefficient of TiSi<sup>2</sup>-catalyzed Si nanowires is 2x10<sup>-13</sup>cm<sup>3</sup>/s. To avoid ensemble artifacts, fabrication and optical analysis of single nanowires and nanoparticles is presented.
