Abstract

The use of femtosecond lasers for coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering measurements in gases is reviewed. Coupling of femtosecond laser radiation with gas-phase resonances, determination of temperature from frequency-spread dephasing, and single-shot measurements are discussed.
