Abstract

We report the Ar<sup>2</sup> <sup>*</sup>amplification with a gain-length product of 6 pumped by a high- intensity laser and the generation of subpicosecond seed pulses at 126 nm using harmonic radiation of an infrared Ti:Sapphire laser.
