Using a tapered photonic crysal cavity approach we designed cavities with theoretical Quality factors Q=2 x 10<sup>7</sup>and measured experimental Q= 7.5 x 10<sup>5</sup>. Non-linear broadening of the cavity resonance has also been observed.
