Er:LiCAF as Potential Vacuum Ultraviolet Laser Material at 163 nm

Abstract

Vacuum ultraviolet fluorescence from micro-pulling down method-grown Er:LiCAF is found to have 163-nm peak emission with 1.3-µs lifetime, making it one of the shortest emission wavelengths from solid-state materials reported.
