A Tunable Optical Channelizing Filter Using Silicon Coupled Ring Resonators

Abstract

We demonstrate a wavelength-tunable optical channelizing filter with a high extinction ratio (50 dB), a narrow bandwidth (2.4 GHz), and a large free spectral range (50 GHz) using high-order coupled silicon rings.
