Inverse Design of Nanophotonic Structures using Complementary Convex Optimization

Abstract

We present a computationally-fast inverse design method for nanophotonic structures, based on the complementary optimization of both dielectric structure and resonant field variables. This method is used to efficiently design multi-objective nanophotonic resonators in two dimensions.
