Abstract

We demonstrate an ultra-broadband optical supercontinuum extending from 1.53um up to 2.55um, generated in a dispersion-engineered silicon photonic wire. The supercontinuum is generated using low power mid-infrared picosecond pump pulses at 2.12um.
