Chemically-Specific Photoacoustic Imaging using Vibrational Raman Excitation

Abstract

We demonstrate, for the first time, molecular contrast imaging in deep tissue by successfully combining chemically-selective, stimulated Raman photoexcitation with high-frequency ultrasound detection.
