Abstract

The use of ultrafast laser writing for fabricating advanced 3D waveguide components is presented and demonstrated. Couplers for space division multiplexing allowing beyond Shannon limit spectral efficiency, and 3D hybrid integration capabilities are discussed. Article not available.
