Cascaded Interband/Intersubband Thermophotovoltaic Energy Conversion

Abstract

The use of interband/intersubband photodetection for thermophotovoltaic energy conversion is numerically investigated. The simulation results indicate that this approach can double the present state-of-the-art in thermophotovoltaic power generation.
