Abstract
In order to assess the potential of THz applications in imaging, sensing, ranging and communications, it is important to know the frequency dependent transmission of the atmosphere [1,2]. Essentially, all of the attenuation of the atmosphere in the range from low frequencies up to 2 THz is caused by water vapor. Here we report the most accurate measurement of this attenuation to date.
