Novel Metal-Cavity Nanolasers at Room Temperature

Abstract

We propose and implement room-temperature substrate-free metal-cavity surface-emitting nanolasers, which are platform-insensitive, with microwatt CW output, of circular beam shape, better in thermal management, and capable of dense integration due to metal shielding.
