Angle Selective Transparent Photovoltaics using Anodized Alumina

Abstract

Nanoporous alumina backreflector shows angle selective scattering which can overcome the transparency vs. photocurrent-generation tradeoff in transparent photovoltaics. 35% backscattering is obtained at 45-degree incidence increasing the photocurrent while maintaining high transparency parallel to ground.
