Pulsed Wavelength Tuning and Continuous Wave Operation of Distributed Bragg Reflector Quantum Cascade Lasers

Abstract

We demonstrated 37 cm−1 pulsed wavelength tuning, and 500 mW CW output power at 20 °C and 4.74 μm wavelength with a SMSR of 30 dB, using DBR QCLs unmounted and mounted epi-down, respectively.
