Nonlinear pulse compression of Q-switched pulses (>500kHz) is obtained from a fiber-amplified microchip laser. The 92ps pulses are SPM-broadened in a double-stage fiber amplifier extracting energies over 100µJ and subsequently compressed to 4.7ps.
