Abstract

We have developed a flexible photodetector by connecting two carbon nanotube (CNT) fibers with different doping levels. The photo-signal is produced through the photothermoelectric effect caused by a temperature gradient induced by optical absorption. This device combines the excellent mechanical and electrical properties of CNT fibers with their unique ability to absorb light in a broad range of wavelength.
