Cladding effect on confinement and bend losses in hypocycloid-core Kagome HC-PCF

Abstract

We report on numerical and experimental results on the influence of cladding ring in hypocycloid-core Kagome HC-PCF. The number of rings has moderate effect on confinement loss whereas strong reduction in bend loss is demonstrated.
