Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate ultra-compact (<0.008 square millimetres), 4-channel CWDM demultiplexers using silicon photonic contra-directional couplers. Flat-top passbands of 10nm, insertion loss of lower than 1dB, and crosstalk of -20dB have been obtained.
