Ultrafast Resonant Optical Kerr Response due to Long-Range Coherent Coupling of Light and Multinode-Type Excitons

Abstract

Resonant optical Kerr effects have been investigated in high-quality CuCl thin films. The peculiar spectral feature and the ultrafast response below 200 fs by a remarkably strong coupling between light and multinode-type excitons are observed.
