Abstract

SBS suppression in monolithic, Yb-doped fiber amplifiers via phase modulated two-tone laser gain competition (LGC) is reported. The LGC between broad and narrow-linewidth (1036nm/1064nm) signals yielded pump-limited output powers of 600W at a 500MHz modulation-frequency.
