Joint estimation of Stokes images and aberrations from phase-diverse polarimetric measurements

Abstract

A penalized likelihood algorithm for joint estimation of Stokes images and aberrations for a four channel polarimeter utilizing phase diversity is derived. System optimization is investigated using a Cramér-Rao bound. Simulation results are presented.
