Limits of 3D dipole localization and orientation estimation with application to single-molecule imaging

Abstract

A two channel polarization sensitive microscope provides higher Fisher information content than conventional single channel designs, enabling a better estimation of the location and orientation of dipole emitters such as static single molecules.
