Optical Design for Laser Radar Instrumentation

Abstract

An optical laser radar instrument for atmospheric aerosol remote sensing has been developed. Wide angle optics coupled with CCD detection allow derivation of particulate scattering from laser pulses. Design challenges and experimental results are discussed.
