Compression of Sub-image-transformed Elemental Images in Integral Imaging

Abstract

In this paper, a novel compression scheme of sub-image-transformed elemental images using Karhunen-Loeve transform in integral imaging is proposed. The proposed scheme can provide improved compression efficiency by improving the similarity between elemental images using sub-image transform. To show the usefulness of the proposed scheme, some experiments are carried out and the results are presented.
