Optical Phase-dependent Visual Secret Sharing Systems

Abstract

Optical phase-dependent visual secret sharing (OPVSS) systems are proposed in this paper. First of all, a special case that three images can be independently reconstructed by any two of the three determined two-dimensional complex signals is proposed. Next, more general schemes which can recover one of the target images from any k-1 of the k phase-only signals are proposed based on the 2-f and 4-f OPVSS systems. The proposed methods can provide execellent image quality and much higher security than that in conventional VSS systems.
