Optoelectronic Trapping of Cells, Nanowires, and Nanoparticles

Abstract

The principle and recent experimental results of optoelectronic tweezers (OET) will be presented. Based on light-induced dielectrophoresis, OET can trap and sort colloidal particles, biological cells, nanowires and nanoparticles using a digital light projector.
