Super-resolution in Digital Holography via Nonlinearity

Abstract

Like all linear techniques, digital holography suffers from limited resolution due to finite-aperture effects. We show here that nonlinearity breaks down linear limits, as formulated by Abbe, as high-frequency spatial modes mix with low-frequency ones.
