Abstract

A phase calculation method using spatial derivatives of quadrature phase-shifted fringes is presented and its applications to interferometry and digital holography are also described. One set of quadrature phase-shifed interferograms or holograms are acquired and the presented phase calculation method gives the phase distribution of the wavefront measured. The principle of the calculation method with computer simulations and experimental results in a specular interferometer and digital holography are given.
