Cultural Effect on the Preferred Color Quality of Illumination Revealed by a Color Rendition Engine

Abstract

Cultural differences in selecting the color quality of illumination were investigated using a solid-state source of light with tunable color-rendition properties. The differences were found to depend on the familiarity of illuminated objects.
