Abstract

Numerical simulations of time-resolved light transport in inhomogeneous tissues reveal quantitative, 3-D-distributions of excitation and fluorescent light. Visualizations generated can assist the optimization of endoscopy-compatible fiber-optic probes and optical imaging systems.
