Modelling the influence of interfaces and multiples layers on light propagation in a slab geometry with the Radiative Transport Equation

Abstract

We show that the role of interfaces in calculating the transmitted and reflected intensity from a slab is important and can not be neglected for all regimes. We use RTE with the discrete ordinate method for a slab with interfaces and multilayers slab without interfaces.
