Investigation of Wavelength Control Methods for Next Generation Passive Optical Access Networks

Abstract

We present a study on wavelength stability requirements for next generation passive optical network (PON) access systems in the light of induced timing jitter. Based on these findings different realization options of wavelength control methods for use in wavelength tunable PON systems are investigated.
