A Hybrid In-building Network Architecture Integrating Millimeter-wave and Wired Services

Abstract

We demonstrate a hybrid in-building network which is capable of generating and delivering both mm-wave and wired services. A conventional FBG is employed to separate two services at remote side and up-convert the wireless signal to 40 GHz millimeter-wave simultaneously. One of the generated optical harmonics is reused for the uplink transmission.
