Fading-noise suppressed OFDR using optical frequency comb source and tunable delay line

Abstract

A delay shift averaging optical frequency domain reflectometry using optical frequency comb source and tunable delay line to suppress the fading noise is proposed. Better reflectivity-resolution is demonstrated compared to using a single-wavelength laser.
