Abstract
Quality assessment procedures will be discussed for both laboratory and space Fourier-transform spectroscopic measurements. Differences between space and laboratory spectroscopy with respect to quality assessment are mainly linked to temporal stability of the target and temperature environment. A selection of quality assurance methods is given for both cases, mostly utilizing redundancy and reproducibility or dedicated characterization measurements. One section is dedicated to detector non-linearity characterization in case of absorption and emission measurements.
