Abstract

Thermal And Near infrared Sensor for carbon Observation (TANSO) Fourier-Transform Spectrometer (FTS) onboard GOSAT monitors CO₂ and CH₄ globally from space. GOSAT will be launched in January, 2009. The initial onboard performance will be presented.
