Effect of positive and negative contrast on Depth of Focus

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the change in Depth of Focus(DOF) with positive and negative contrast with two different subjective blur criterion: minimal blur and total blur. The result show that DOF is significantly different for positive and negative contrasts.
