Abstract
New imaging modalities are being brought to bear on an increasing number of clinical problems, aided by advances in imaging speed, delivery probe miniaturization and device portability. Several optical imaging techniques are ideal for micron-scale resolution imaging but at the tradeoff of shallow imaging depth. Therefore, miniature delivery systems have been developed to extend imaging possibilities to organs that can be reached in a minimally invasive manner. This theme will cover the technology and applications of endoscopic imaging devices.
