Abstract

Recently, photonic crystals (PCs), because of their anomalous dispersion properties, have been proposed for realizing demultiplexing operations inside the PC. Up to now, the basic implementation has been demonstrated and some limitations and issues have been addressed. In order to effectively use these devices for demultiplexing purposes, the first step is to recognize the effect of different design parameters and design goals.
