Abstract

A method for user definition of objects for non-sequential ray tracing is presented. The method computes exact ray-object intersection for any object and incident ray. General properties such as scattering, gradient index, polarization, diffraction, and optimization are supported. The method does not require user knowledge of non-sequential ray tracing methods.
