White Organic light emitting devices for General Illumination

Abstract

Organic light emitting devices (OLEDs) are potentially an efficient, general illumination, light source. We examine the different physical processes within the OLED and how each contributes to the light generation efficacy. We combine optical models of light transport, and experimental measurements to produce a map of a practical light source.
