We present experimental measurements of transmission amplitude and phase in triangular-lattice photonic crystal waveguides using a phase-sensitive lock-in technique. We observed large phase jitter both at the onset and in the middle of the transmission band. We attribute this phase jitter to mode gap reflections and optical mode shifting.
