Abstract
A ray-based method for wave propagation, referred to as “stable aggregates of flexible elements”, is used to model diffraction. This method assigns Gaussian contributions to each ray, such that their sum is insensitive to the Gaussians’ width. Diffraction is modeled by including contributions from rays scattered by the obstacles’ edges.
