Biometric verification of visible and MWIR images suitable for optical correlators

Abstract

Biometric recognition using template matching in multiple wavelength bands has been assessed using Fourier transform-based techniques on a new database of facial images. Individuals were digitally photographed using commercially available visible and infrared (IR) cameras. Recognition accuracy and false positive rate were determined.
