Intensity correlation function for a wave propagating in disordered photonic crystal shows, in addition to standard oscillations, new type of oscillations, specific for photonic bandstructure. This opens a possibility to determine the top-band of photonic crystals by studying the disorder-induced phenomenon of intensity correlation.
