Abstract

By using split-step beam propagation method, self-pumped contra-directional two-beam coupling is simulated in a photorefractive medium for arbitrary shaped beams. The role of diffusion, photovoltaic effect and dark conductivity is investigated for a LiNbO3:Fe crystal.
