Polarization singularities generated from a vortex propagating through an uniaxial birefringent crystal

Abstract

We study the polarization singularities generated when an r-vortex in a Gaussian beam propagates through an uniaxial birefringent crystal. The S-lines and C-points are reconstructed from measurements of the Stokes parameters and compared with simulations.
