Micropatterning of microsphere-based thin films with a femtosecond laser

Abstract

We demonstrate the possibility of micropatterning arrays of silica microspheres using femtosecond laser pulses. Selective removal of individual spheres is observed and the interaction of the pulse with the microsphere is characterized.
