In analogy with Wigner time delay in quantum scattering, it is shown that a x-ray under Bragg diffraction is delayed by a quantity associated to the derivative of the reflectivity phase. This effect is on the femtosecond scale the same delivered by forthcoming generation FEL x-ray source.
